We are seeking an experienced Cladding Designer (Intermediate or Senior level) to join our expanding design team. Following several recently awarded projects, this is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of cladding schemes across London and the South East, with real scope for career progression.
The Role
As a Cladding Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings, designs, and layouts. You will liaise closely with clients, consultants, and site teams, ensuring precision and efficiency throughout the design process to support the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities

Produce cladding construction detail drawings, elevations, plans, and setting-out drawings.

Draft and design semi-autonomously from verbal, written, and sketched instructions.

Carry out material take-offs and liaise with the commercial team regarding orders.
*
Conduct weekly site surveys, including progress photos and inspections.
*
Attend design/progress meetings and liaise with structural engineers, consultants, and architects.
*
Request specifications, U-value and condensation risk calculations from suppliers.
*
Maintain accurate records, including RFI logs, change logs, and cloud-based project files.
*
Raise design changes that may impact project costs and ensure all drawings remain up to date.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Architecture preferred (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
Intermediate: 3–5 yearsSenior: 5+ yearsSoftware:
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, PDF software, and MS Office/Outlook. (3D AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Bluebeam desirable.)Knowledge: Strong understanding of cladding materials, fire barriers, fixing types, U-values, and fabrication drawings.Other Requirements:

Must live within commutable distance of the North Greenwich office.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
*
Full UK driving licence preferred.
*
Must provide a PDF portfolio of cladding drawings.
*
Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
⚠️ Please note: Applicants must have direct cladding experience. Curtain walling experience only will not be considered.
