We have been appointed to represent a leading cost management firm based in Hampshire, renowned for delivering expert quantity surveying services across high-profile projects in Defence, Health, and Residential sectors.

This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £1 million to £600 million, providing broad exposure and opportunities for career growth both locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in cost management activities from project inception through to completion under the guidance of senior surveyors.
Support preparation of feasibility studies, cost estimates, and cost plans across all design stages.
Help evaluate building design costs and alternative proposals to ensure adherence to project budgets.
Participate in preparing and issuing tender documentation and managing tender processes.
Review tender returns, analyse submissions, and assist in making procurement recommendations.
Support contract administration activities, including advising on building contract terms.
Monitor project costs, prepare financial reports, and attend project meetings.
Assist with post-contract cost control, including assessing variations and supporting final account negotiations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams.
Contribute to the ongoing development and support of junior team members.
Uphold professional standards and contribute positively to team culture.
What We’re Looking For 

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited).
Working towards MRICS or recently qualified MRICS is desirable.
Some experience working on technically complex projects within the construction industry.
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts is a strong advantage.
Commercially aware, with good negotiation, organisation, and communication skills.
Proactive, diligent, and client-focused with a strong commitment to quality and service excellence.
A collaborative team player with an engaging personality and a desire for continuous professional growth.
