Quantity Surveyor

One of our trusted clients, a well-established groundworks contractor based in Canterbury, is looking to appoint an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled QS with groundworks or civil engineering experience to work on a variety of projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents for groundworks contracts

*

Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability

*

Conduct valuations of variations and interim payments

*

Negotiate subcontractor contracts and procurement activities

*

Collaborate closely with site teams and project managers to control costs

*

Provide accurate reporting and commercial advice throughout project delivery

Candidate Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering sectors

*

Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management

*

Excellent numerical and analytical skills

*

Proficiency with quantity surveying software

*

Good communication and negotiation skills

*

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
