Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Manchester-based team. You will play a key role in the delivery of upcoming new-build residential developments, managing commercial responsibilities from procurement through to final accounts. This role offers the chance to take ownership of projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and develop your career within a forward-thinking developer.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with cost planning, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Procuring subcontractors and suppliers, preparing tender packages, and negotiating contracts.
Managing valuations, variations, and cost reporting throughout project lifecycles.
Working closely with site and project teams to ensure cost-effective delivery.
Preparing accurate and timely commercial reports for senior management.
Building strong working relationships with colleagues, consultants, and contractors.What you will need to succeed:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the housebuilding, residential development, or main contracting sector.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (ideally with JCT contracts).
Excellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
