Senior Civil Engineer – Bristol
£45,000 – £55,000 + Hybrid + Autonomy + Progression

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a busy Bristol team and play a key role in delivering and managing a wide portfolio of projects. The role offers the chance to work across multiple sectors including residential, education, healthcare, commercial, leisure, regeneration, life sciences, geotechnical design and master planning.

You will gain experience throughout all project stages, from feasibility and due diligence through to construction, and work on developments ranging from small to multi-phase projects. The role also encourages involvement in shaping emerging industry guidance and contributing to best practice across the built environment.

The Role
As Senior Civil Engineer, you will take the lead on a range of projects, using both technical and commercial knowledge to manage risk and ensure successful delivery. You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading and managing projects of varying size

* Overseeing project financial management, plans, and appointment documents

* Producing reports, specifications, calculations, drawings and Civils 3D models

* Undertaking site visits, surveys, inspections and reports

* Mentoring and developing junior engineers

* Representing the business at design and project meetings

Key Requirements

* Degree in Civil Engineering (MEng, BEng, MSc or equivalent)

* IEng with relevant experience, or CEng/near CEng status desirable

* Experience in an engineering consultancy environment

* Strong project and people management skills

* Experience in infrastructure design including flood risk, drainage and highways desirable

* Knowledge of key standards and guidance: Manual for Streets, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, SUDS Manual

* Experience liaising with highways authorities, LLFAs, sewerage undertakers and other external parties

* Proficiency with InfoDrainage and Autodesk Civils 3D desirable
