I'm working with a long standing client of mine who are looking for a Document Controller for a construction company based in Birmingham. This allows you to put you detail-oriented, organisation and document management skills to the test. They are looking for a skilled Document Controller to join a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain all project documentation
Control document distribution to project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring version control is maintained.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and update project information promptly.
Monitor document control processes to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Support audit processes by preparing and providing documentation as required.
Assist in the development and implementation of document control systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Track document revisions, deadlines, and approvals, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive documents and data.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience as a Document Controller or in a similar administrative role within construction or engineering industries.
Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in document management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
