BMS / Controls Project Engineer 📍 Location: London, Guilford 💷 Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience) 🕒 Full-Time | Permanent Do you have a passion for smart building systems and sustainable energy solutions? We’re seeking a skilled BMS / Controls Engineer to join our growing technical team, working on projects that cut carbon, save energy, and modernise utility infrastructure across commercial and industrial sites. From feasibility studies through to commissioning and handover, you’ll be involved in shaping the control strategy of major decarbonisation projects. You'll bring your expertise in HVAC, CHP, heat pumps, lighting, and building automation to life — designing and specifying advanced control systems that deliver real-world energy savings. 🔧 What You’ll Do: Assess and analyse existing control systems at client sites Develop control system concepts and specifications for energy-saving projects Prepare User Requirements Specifications (URS), control strategies, I/O lists, and interface plans Support procurement and implementation teams during delivery Review technical documentation, conduct site visits, and resolve design issues Provide input on commissioning strategy, protocols, and system validation Attend HAZOPs, technical reviews, and oversee quality on-site Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing 🎯 What You’ll Bring: Engineering degree (or relevant industry experience) Chartered Engineer status or working towards it Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in BMS and control systems for energy projects Strong understanding of industrial/commercial building systems (CHP, HVAC, ASHP/GSHP, compressed air, lighting) Experience creating URS documents, control strategies, and system specifications Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to travel for site visits 💡 Why Join Us?
