Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Construction)
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £85,000 + Package
The Role
-Manage and control the commercial aspects of projects
– Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting
– Collate, review and report on multiple projects within remit
– Supervise, support and advise direct reports
– Place and manage subcontracts in line with company policies
– Identify opportunities to maximise value and minimise costs
– Monitor subcontractor performance and support on problem areas
– Implement and oversee commercial systems and procedures
– Contribute to risk management and mitigation strategies
– Promote effective communication, collaboration and team performance
– Set objectives for direct reports and support development

The Ideal Candidate
– BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or related subject
– Significant commercial experience with a contracting organisation
– Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and cost cycles
– Understanding of suppliers, local market knowledge and industry standards
– Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
– Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
