Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our EQS Estimating team. This is a hands-on role, responsible for managing estimators, driving the quoting process, participating in design meetings, and ensuring smooth project handovers. You will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of estimation, commercial accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and develop the EQS Estimators team.

Negotiate with clients and stakeholders to secure competitive yet profitable proposals.

Oversee and produce quotes, including Major Projects and Key Account Management opportunities.
*
Conduct and participate in design meetings with clients and internal teams.
*
Responsible for quote follow-up for projects under £10k.
*
Handover Major Projects to Operations efficiently and accurately.
*
Produce and maintain team KPIs to ensure performance and targets are met.
*
Review and create Major Project quotations in conjunction with Business Development Managers.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Experienced estimator with proven track record.
*
Able to assess risk and make commercial decisions.
*
KPI-driven, with experience delivering both individual and team targets.
*
PC literate and proficient in MS Office – Essential.
*
Ability to read and understand construction drawings – Essential.
*
Strong commercial awareness relating to pricing and value propositions – Essential.
*
Contractual awareness – Essential.
*
Familiarity with CRM systems – Preferred.
*
EN16005 certification – Preferred (training/assessment can be arranged if not held).
