M&E Site Supervisor
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented M&E Site Supervisor (Off the Tools) to oversee mechanical and electrical works on-site. This role is pivotal in managing quality assurance, compiling detailed snagging reports, ensuring all installations meet specifications, and driving timely project completion. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between subcontractors, project managers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate day-to-day M&E activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, health & safety standards, and quality expectations.
* Conduct quality inspections and identify M&E installation defects, incomplete works, or non-compliance issues.
* Produce clear, accurate snagging lists and reports using digital tools such as FieldView, SnagR, Viewpoint, or traditional Excel/Word formats.
* Track resolution of snagging issues through to completion.
* Liaise with subcontractors and ensure corrective actions are implemented within agreed timelines.
* Attend and lead snagging/de-snagging site walks with clients and consultants.
* Support project handover by compiling and maintaining relevant documentation.
* Monitor progress and report back to the Project Manager on any issues or delays.
* Review and understand M&E drawings, specifications, and scope of works.
* Ensure that all works are completed in accordance with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
* Support commissioning activities and ensure all M&E systems are handed over in working order.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in M&E supervision, with at least 2 years in an off-the-tools supervisory or snagging role.
* Strong understanding of M&E building services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BMS, etc.).
* Ability to identify and document defects clearly and professionally.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and snagging/reporting software.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Valid CSCS card (Supervisor or above).
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
* Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
* HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* First Aid at Work.
* Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, education or residential projects
