A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to join a major infrastructure project as part of the HS2 development in the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in one of the UK’s most prestigious and high-value civil engineering projects, with long-term potential and excellent scope for progression.

We are looking for someone with a solid background in delivering large-scale civil engineering works to high safety, quality, and productivity standards.

🔍 Essential Requirements:

*

Previous experience as a Site Manager on major civils or infrastructure projects (ideally HS2, highways, rail, or similar)

*

Strong understanding of earthworks, RC structures, drainage, and utilities

*

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

*

CSCS – Black or White card

*

First Aid at Work (in-date)

*

Excellent organisational and communication skills

*

Proven ability to manage direct labour, subcontractors, and plant operations

*

Track record of maintaining high standards in HSE compliance and site documentation

Day-to-day site management and coordination of works

*

Ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

*

Liaising with engineering and commercial teams to track progress and manage resources

*

Leading daily briefings and toolbox talks

*

Managing site logistics, access, and movement plans

*

Monitoring quality assurance, health & safety compliance, and site records

*

Reporting to the Project Manager with updates and resolving on-site issues proactively
