M&E Co-ordinator
GRAHAM Division: Civil Engineering
Location: Glasgow & Edinburgh
Reporting to the M&E Manager, the M&E Coordinator has responsibility for the on site coordination of Mechanical and Electrical works on Projects undertaken by the Civil Engineering Division of Graham Construction in Scotland.
Working as an integrated member of project delivery teams and contributing to project tendering, the M&E Coordinator will contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of the Civils Division and will be expected to meet personal development targets, project goals and business targets.
Excellent technical knowledge, attention to quality and team working are essential components of the job role.
About You
The M&E Coordinator shall:
- Work as an integral member of the project delivery team, coordinating the Mechanical & Electrical elements of civil engineering projects predominately in Scotland
- Supervise site works, ensuring works are planned, coordinated and completed in accordance with company Safety, Health & Environmental policies.
- Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained.
- Keep a good Site Diary.
- Review installation risk assessments and method statements ensuring work is sufficiently planned, coordinated and supervised to provide safe and efficient works.
- Provide input to handover documents such as the Health & Safety File, Technical files, O&M Manuals and commissioning records.
- Meet with designers and subcontractors on a regular basis to monitor progress of the design, procurement, installation and commissioning works against the contract programme.
- Identify potential project risks and take appropriate mitigation action in accordance with contract requirements.
- Introducing improvements and innovations where appropriate.
- Liaise with other function/departmental personnel in Engineering, Planning, Procurement & Commercial.
- Follow core GRAHAM business systems and policies throughout the area of responsibility.
