MMP Consultancy is seeking a Project Surveyor on behalf of a Housing Association based in Leicestershire. This is a permanent position with a salary of £45,000 if the successful candidate has an HNC in Building Surveying, £48,000 for an HND in Building Surveying and £53,000 for a Degree in Building Surveying.

Candidates without an HNC or an HND or a Degree in Building Surveying will unfortunately not be considered. Candidate's will be home based and will only go into the office in Leicester once a month for a team meeting. A 45p/mile scheme will be applied for any travel to properties to conduct a survey.

The Project Surveyor be a key part of the Housing Association's Asset Management team, responsible for delivering a wide range of investment works – including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and roof replacements – as well as cyclical decorations and other planned maintenance projects.

They will manage projects from pre-start inspections through to post-completion sign-off, ensuring quality, compliance, and excellent resident satisfaction every step of the way. They will also play a critical role in contractor management, budget control, technical inspections, and updating Keystone data to support future investment planning.

Responsibilities:

Deliver planned investment programmes across Midland's properties – including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, roofs, and cyclical decorations.
Carry out pre-start inspections, scope works, monitor progress, and conduct post-completion quality checks.
Use Keystone software and mobile technology to manage and update project data.
Administer contracts, including valuations, issuing variations, and final account agreements.
Update and review stock condition data to support future investment planning.
Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and certification documents.
Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and organisational policies.
Provide technical and contractual advice to internal teams and stakeholders.
Support out-of-hours service delivery through participation in the duty surveyor rota.
Manage supplier performance, particularly under long-term contracts (e.g. JCT Measured Term).Requirements:

Professionally qualified (RICS/CIOB or equivalent) or can demonstrate strong relevant experience.
Experienced in delivering stock investment or major works – ideally in social housing.
Skilled in contract administration (JCT MTC or similar), including valuations and final accounts.
Technically confident across domestic property maintenance.
A strong communicator with a passion for delivering great service
