The Role
An experienced Senior Project Manager is required to oversee the delivery of major utility and infrastructure projects at Heathrow Airport. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing complex projects in a live airport environment, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects involving firemains, heating & hot water systems, potable water systems, and associated civil engineering.

Take ownership of project delivery from planning through installation, commissioning, and final handover.
*
Develop, manage, and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resources.
*
Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders at Heathrow.
*
Ensure strict compliance with airport protocols, industry regulations, and client specifications.
*
Oversee and coordinate in-house specialist teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
*
Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management.
*
Report on project performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
*
Drive continuous improvement and safeguard the company’s reputation for quality and accountability.
Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within utilities, pipelines, or civil engineering.
*
Strong track record delivering projects in live infrastructure or airport environments.
*
Experience with firemains, hot water, or potable water systems is highly desirable.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
*
Commercially astute with solid contract and cost management knowledge.
*
Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (degree/HNC/HND).
*
CSCS, SMSTS, and other relevant industry certifications.
*
Ability to operate effectively in high-security, live airport environments.
