Setting Out Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in Enfield, currently one-third of the way through. The role involves setting out across five bridge structures, with responsibility for managing your own element of QA for each assigned structure.
This is a hands-on role for a competent engineer who can work independently, deliver to high standards, and ensure accuracy in all setting out and quality control activities.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out for bridge construction works (all five structures).
Taking full responsibility for quality assurance (QA) on your allocated structure.
Maintaining and updating site records, drawings, and QA documentation.
Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
Ensuring works are delivered in line with project specifications, tolerances, and safety standards.
Supporting the site team with technical advice where required.
Requirements
CSCS card (essential).
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
First Aid at Work certification.
Previous experience in setting out for civil engineering structures, ideally bridges.
Ability to manage QA independently and take ownership of allocated works.
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Full shift paid (7:30am – 5:30pm, with two breaks).
