Site Engineer
Site Engineer – Regional Groundworks & Civils Contractor – Hampshire and surrounding Counties
My client is a Leading Regional Civil Engineering and Groundworks Contractor.
Due to planned growth and several new contract awards in their operational region they are seeking to add another Site Engineer / Senior Engineer to their existing delivery team.
They are looking to bring an individual into the business on a permanent basis but would be prepared to be flexible on the payment terms and would also offer an attractive package which would consist of a company vehicle, holiday etc.
Generally covering the Counties of Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Dorset, they specialise in the following sectors;
* Demolition
* Earthworks
* Piling & Foundations
* Hard & Soft Landscaping
* External Works
* Reinforced Concrete
* Roads & Sewers
* Groundworks
Key Responsibilities
•Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs
•Read and review construction drawings
•Undertake basic take-off’s
•Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
•Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value
•Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value •Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification
•Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
Skills Required
The company are seeking a proactive problem solver and confident communicator, who has the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals.
The ideal candidate will have previous civil engineering experience, particularly highways schemes working for a main contractor.
Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and have a BSc/ HND/ HNC qualification or equivalent.
You will have a SSTS card as well as ICE membership.

Skills Required
Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the Southern Region.
A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
