About the role:
We are currently hiring a Construction Project Planner to support the pre-construction and delivery phases of a large-scale construction project located on a major framework based in Surrey. You will be responsible for providing detailed programmes, logistics plans, budgets, and scheduling plans.
The Planner will report directly to senior management and collaborate closely with pre-construction, technical, build, and commercial teams, as well as with external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
About you:
The successful candidate will have a desire to learn and a willingness to step outside of their comfort zone. We required an individual who is digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and work alongside strong, motivated teams. Experience working on large projects/programmes/frameworks is ideal.
You are proficient in the use of Primavera P6, Microsoft suite of programmes, and have experience working under NEC3/NEC4 forms of Contract.
Fit-out experience and a background in delivery is essential; this role requires an experienced construction planner to manage fit-out and asset replacement works.
The Ideal candidate will have come from a construction/project management background.
Roles and responsibilities:
Learn and understand the project-specific milestones and durations relating to program activities to build robust schedules.
You will use information gathered from the immediate team, external supply chain and existing benchmark data to produce clear programs in Primavera P6 software.
Understand QSRA risk analysis requirements and build a program conforming to DCMA 14 point assessment method
Create level 1 to 5 schedules and communicate these to the project team.
Creating detailed trade contractor schedules covering design, procurement, installation, commissioning and close out.
Update the program with progress/change and report monthly.
Manage short-term planning on live projects
Incorporation of the trade contractors’ schedules into the master schedule.
Monitor compliance with all health and safety legislation and company procedures.
Managing of trade contractors’ progress reporting and integration of progress information.
Creating and monitoring KPIs and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
Involvement in the change management process to determine the impact of change on the programme.Job requirements:
Must have 3+ years of Construction Planning experience.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experience using Primavera P6.
Excellent Communication, Organisational, and leadership skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
