Linear Recruitment is working with a leading, privately-owned civil engineering contractor based in Derby. The company delivers a wide range of high-value projects across the UK in the energy, industrial, and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their pre-contract team.

The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in pricing civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and submitting detailed tenders and cost estimates

*

Sourcing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors

*

Liaising with clients to fully understand project requirements

*

Attending handover meetings for successful tenders

*

Supporting and mentoring junior team members

*

Conducting site visits to assess conditions and cost factors

What You’ll Need

*

Experience in estimating groundworks, reinforced concrete, or general civil engineering

*

Ability to estimate from first principles

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

*

Strong numerical and analytical skills

*

Full UK driving licence
