Senior Health and Safety Advisor

Senior Health and Safety Advisor – Glasgow/projects across the Central Belt – £50k-£60k+car/car allowance (£5k)+ benefits package – major infrastructure projects across the region, supporting site teams and senior management. Senior Health and Safety Advisor required for a major infrastructure framework. 

Key responsibilities:

Understanding our approach to managing risk and delivering complex projects with excellent standards in Health, Safety and Environment.
Maintaining a dynamic and driven approach to supporting Health and Safety across the region
Supporting and developing a positive Health and Safety culture 
Organising audits and supporting the delivery of audits.
Conducting accident/incident investigations and/or supporting investigations 
Integrating within the wider project teams to understand day to day challenges.
Liaising with the central health and safety team.
Highlighting opportunity for sustainable solutions.
Trending and analysis of key performance data.
Maintenance of our externally certified management systems.

Requirements:

Proven experience of working as part of a team within construction or engineering
Ability to interpret legislation and Approved codes of Practise.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Good communicator who’s comfortable engaging at all levels within the organisation 
Confidence to make decisions whilst recognising when appropriate to escalate issues or concerns.
Good Microsoft Office skills especially Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
