Electrical Estimator

The Role
We’re looking for an Electrical Estimator to join the team and take ownership of tendering and estimating activities. You’ll be at the centre of the pre-construction process, helping to secure new work and ensuring the bids are both competitive and commercially sound.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Taking the lead on tender reviews and supporting smooth handovers into live projects
* Carrying out site visits when required, producing layouts, and liaising directly with clients to understand their needs
* Managing incoming enquiries, producing accurate take-offs, and preparing cost estimates for a variety of electrical installations
* Compiling tender submissions with precise and competitive pricing
* Identifying opportunities for value engineering and suggesting cost-effective alternatives without compromising on quality
* Working closely with project managers to build strong, competitive bids
* Sourcing supplier and subcontractor quotations, and negotiating to secure the best terms

About You
* Experience in an estimating role within the electrical contracting sector
* Confident in reading drawings, preparing take-offs, and producing accurate costings
* Able to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and supply chain partners
* Skilled at negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors to achieve best value
* Organised, detail-focused, and able to balance multiple deadlines
