Tekla Draughtsman

We are hiring a skilled Tekla Draughtsman to join an established design team in Bedfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with architectural metalwork experience to take on a varied role, producing detailed drawings and working closely with engineers and project teams on high-quality projects.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm (30 min lunch break)

Duties:

Produce detailed 3D models and drawings for architectural metalwork including balconies, balustrades, staircases, and similar structures using Tekla Structures
Prepare and issue General Arrangement (GA) drawings and fabrication packs
Collaborate with engineers and the design manager to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and buildable
Liaise with project teams to meet client requirements and deadlines
Apply up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and relevant standards in all detailing work

Requirements:

Proficiency in Tekla Structures with proven experience in architectural metalwork
Strong understanding of steel fabrication and detailing practices
Good knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Must be able to commute to Bedfordshire for this office-based role
