Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington (with some travel to sites)
Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 DOE + Benefits

About the Role
Our client, a leading specialist contractor within the construction sector, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Managing all commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account.

*

Preparing, negotiating, and analysing costs for tenders and contracts.

*

Ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and maximise profitability.

*

Preparing valuations, variations, and interim applications for payment.

*

Monitoring and controlling project costs against budgets.

*

Working closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders.

*

Identifying and managing commercial risks.

*

Supporting the preparation of monthly reports and forecasts.

About You

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally in specialist contracting.

*

Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC / JCT).

*

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

*

Proficient with relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, costing systems).
