Technical Coordinator
Timber Windows & Doors – Residential and Commercial Projects
We are currently seeking a Technical Coordinator to join a specialist provider of superior timber windows and doors, delivering high-quality glazing solutions for both residential and commercial properties across London. Their comprehensive services span the full project lifecycle – from design and surveying to manufacturing and installation. They take pride in their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to work seamlessly with main contractors, particularly on local authority and social housing contracts.
Role Overview:
This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring technical accuracy and coordination between the survey, estimation, manufacturing, and installation teams. Working closely with main contractors and internal departments, you will help ensure that each project is delivered smoothly, accurately, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and check all incoming paperwork from surveyors to ensure technical accuracy.
* Confirm all window and door measurements are correct, precise, and suitable for production.
* Liaise with the estimating team to provide technical support and clarification on project specifications.
* Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure accurate production details and timelines.
* Identify and resolve any technical discrepancies prior to production.
* Support the installations team by providing clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation.
* Work collaboratively with project managers and contractors to ensure client expectations are met.
* Maintain accurate records of all technical documents and correspondence related to each project.
* Provide excellent customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Requirements:
* Proven technical understanding of timber windows and doors, including their design and installation requirements.
* Previous experience in a similar coordination or technical support role within the fenestration
* Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and surveyor notes.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
* Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project coordination tools is a plus.
* Knowledge of social housing or local authority projects is an advantage
