Senior Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major bridges package in Ilford. This is a long-term freelance opportunity, offering 12 months of work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee setting out and engineering works on bridge structures

*

Ensure works are completed in line with technical drawings and specifications

*

Manage site engineers and coordinate with the site management team

*

Liaise with subcontractors and the client to ensure smooth delivery

*

Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate site records

*

Contribute to health and safety and method statement reviews

Requirements:

*

Proven experience working on bridge or heavy civil structures

*

Minimum of 5 years’ site engineering experience

*

Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering

*

Proficient in setting out using GPS/Total Station

*

Valid CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable)

*

Strong communication and leadership skills
