Project Overview

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking experienced Senior Engineers to support the Tilbury to Grain 30 km Conductor Upgrade project. This is a key National Grid infrastructure upgrade, focusing heavily on civils works relating to overhead line (OHL) and energy infrastructure.

Role Title: Senior Engineer
Location: Tilbury to Grain, UK
Contract Type: Freelance 
Start Date: Immediate / TBCKey Responsibilities
Provide engineering oversight for civils works associated with OHL conductor upgrade.
Contribute to the design process, ensuring compliance with project and statutory requirements.
Prepare and review management plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
Oversee site access planning and liaise with stakeholders to minimise disruption.
Ensure works are carried out in line with National Grid standards, HSE requirements, and project specifications.
Support project reporting, progress monitoring, and issue resolution.Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a Senior Engineer within civils, OHL, or energy infrastructure projects.
Ideally hold a valid National Grid Persons (NG Persons) Ticket.
Strong knowledge of design principles, management planning, and civils methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure to deliver against programme deadlines.Desirable
Experience working on large-scale energy or OHL upgrade projects.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional accreditation.
Familiarity with National Grid standards and procedures.Benefits
