Project Manager

Straight-Line Civils are currently hiring a Project Manager to join a team in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset.

You will be responsible for the engineering team within the nuclear/military field. Due to the nature of the field, you will need to be able to obtain appropriate security clearance (organised by the employer). You will work closely with the Engineering Operations Manager and the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

* Communicate with key stakeholders relating to radioactive waste

* Apply a strong knowledge of environmental legislation to practices

* Lead and drive the highest standards in radioactive waste management

* Leading a team of engineers, electricians, and other workers

* Input into the production of technical documentation for project work across a range of disciplines, including radioactive waste management strategies, characterisation, DQO and BAT

Key Qualifications and Person Specification:

* Environmental/Physical Science (degree level)

* Project Manager qualification (Prince, etc.)

* Aware of or qualified in ADR/DGSA

* CSCS card (desired)

* Experience of the nuclear industry would be beneficial

* Adaptable, able to work on a number of projects at the same time, prioritising as appropriate

* Experience working in a role within a relevant waste management or waste regulatory field

Salary – £55,000 to £60,000
