About the Role
Our Client is looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of a large static site in Salford. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example, ensuring all building services, systems, and facilities are kept running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will bring solid technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate and deliver maintenance works to a high standard. Experience within the hotel/ hospitality sector, where fast response and attention to detail are key, will be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.

Lead on fault finding, repairs, and minor project works.
*
Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are met, with accurate records maintained.
*
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to oversee specialist works.
*
Support and mentor junior technicians, ensuring safe systems of work at all times.
*
Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests to minimise downtime and disruption.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Engineer, ideally in a lead/supervisory role.
*
Strong knowledge of building services (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fabric maintenance).
*
Experience in hotel or hospitality environments highly desirable.
*
Good understanding of compliance requirements (H&S, statutory checks, permits, etc.).
*
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
*
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications
*
Compliance or FM-related training advantageous.
*
Strog building fabrics experience
