Sprinkler Fitter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local, state, and federal codes. This is a hands-on role that requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements

*

Cut, thread, and connect pipe using hand and power tools

*

Test sprinkler systems for leaks and proper operation

*

Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components

*

Adhere to all safety procedures and relevant building/fire codes

*

Collaborate with general contractors, foremen, and other trades on job sites

*

Complete work orders, inspection reports, and other documentation as required

*

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

*

Respond to emergency repair calls when needed (optional depending on role)

Qualifications:

*

Completion of a sprinkler fitter apprenticeship program or relevant experience

*

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

*

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

*

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if travel is required)

*

Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and work in confined spaces

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

*

NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout or Inspection

*

Experience with backflow preventer installation and testing

*

Knowledge of other fire protection systems (e.g., alarms, suppression)
