This market-leading UK water sector contractor is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team in the Glasgow area. Hybrid working is available. You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of projects, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and value optimisation. This is a senior-level role offering excellent career prospects and a strong package.
The Role:
* Undertake full Senior Quantity Surveyor duties on allocated projects and work packages, ensuring client business requirements are met.
* Liaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyse, and control costs.
* Manage main contracts, ensuring all contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised.
* Support in the management and performance of subcontractors and deal with relevant documentation.
* Produce cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
* Assist with managing and developing junior Quantity Surveyors within the team.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor should:
* Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Be working towards, or already hold, chartered membership of a recognised institution.
* Have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.
* Have strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
* (Desirable) Have experience managing and developing junior Quantity Surveyors.
