Civils Supervisor (Highways)

Position: Civils Supervisor Highways

Rate: £25 – £27 per hour DoE

I am working with a well-established civil engineering subcontractor who are delivering a package of works in central Manchester. They are now seeking an experienced Civils / Highways Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on site.

Scope of works includes:
• Pavement refurbishment
• Kerbing
• Ducting
• Signalling
• Cycleways

You will be responsible for supervising two gangs (one 3-person, one 4-person), ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily site activities and allocate tasks to gangs
• Ensure works are delivered in line with health & safety standards
• Monitor progress and quality of works
• Liaise with project managers and subcontractors as required
• Maintain site records and reports

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Supervisor in civils / highways projects
• Strong knowledge of kerbs, ducting, pavement and highways works
• SSSTS / SMSTS & CSCS required. First Aid is preferred.
• Ability to manage small teams effectively
