A client within the Public Sector based in Wrexham is currently recruiting for a Housing Repairs Manager to join their Housing & Assets team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing or property services environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role: to provide operational and strategic support to lead officers in managing day-to-day housing operations, DLO management, and external contracts, while supporting wider strategic initiatives across the department.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Manage day-to-day operations of DLO and external contracts
• Collaborate with internal teams to review performance and streamline processes
• Support specialist projects, including compliance with Awabbs Law
• Provide flexible, responsive service delivery to meet evolving needs
• Work closely with lead officers to ensure high standards for contract holders

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Proven experience in housing operations or contract management
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience with Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) operations
• Knowledge of housing compliance and legislative frameworks
• Experience supporting strategic projects within a local authority

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £22 per hour PAYE).
