The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading construction and engineering consultancy in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on complex preconstruction, construction, and close-out phases of major projects. The Senior Engineer will play a key part in contract negotiations, cost control, project scheduling, and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

Support preconstruction activities including contractor pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contract negotiation.

Manage cost and change control processes, including change orders and delay analysis.

*

Oversee project scheduling, document control, and value engineering initiatives.

*

Ensure QA/QC and HSE standards are maintained throughout project delivery.

*

Coordinate and manage vendors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Lead engineering close-out tasks including inspections, punch lists, and final documentation.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

*

Proven track record in managing preconstruction and construction phases.

*

Strong background in contractor procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

Expertise in cost management, change control, and scheduling software.

*

Excellent knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.

*

Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
