An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist or experienced Architectural Technologist to join their Midlands team, working from either their Birmingham or Shrewsbury studio.
About You
You are a motivated professional with proven experience as an Architectural Technologist, able to balance technical expertise with creativity and problem-solving. You’ll be confident working independently, but thrive in a team environment where collaboration and knowledge-sharing drive the best project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Architectural Technology and CIAT registered (or working towards).
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of production drawing packages.
Proficiency in Revit, with at least 3 years’ continual use as a primary design/delivery tool.
Strong knowledge of UK construction and building law, including current and emerging fire regulations.
Experience working collaboratively with consultants, contractors, and statutory bodies.
Confidence in advising on materials, buildability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Produce effective working drawing packages with minimal supervision.
Coordinate design information across disciplines, ensuring compliance with statutory and professional requirements.
Advise on environmental, regulatory, and fire safety requirements.
Undertake Designer Risk Assessments (CDM) and contribute to project Health & Safety compliance.
Manage documentation for planning, building regulations, and other statutory approvals.
Use Revit Level 2 BIM processes and provide CoBiE data.
Programme work schedules, carry out inspections, and prepare tender reports.
Source technical information, ensure buildability, and work to robust QA procedures.
