💰 Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + Package

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a specialist subcontractor delivering prestigious commercial fit-out contracts across London. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead design delivery for high-profile projects, working closely with a variety of top-tier main contractors.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for managing the full design process on multiple fast-paced projects, with a focus on commercial joinery, washrooms, and interior fit-out. From managing external designers to ensuring technical accuracy and supporting project delivery, you'll be a key part of driving design excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design process from concept to completion across multiple live projects.

Manage and coordinate external design consultants to ensure timely and accurate output.

*

Liaise closely with clients, architects, and internal teams to maintain design intent.

Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards.

*

Support project and site teams by resolving design-related issues promptly.

*

Identify opportunities for value engineering and design efficiency.

Essential Experience & Skills:

Proven experience as a Design Manager in commercial joinery, washroom systems, or interior fit-out.

*

Ability to run multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.

*

Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing, detailing, and construction coordination.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

*

Proficiency in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
