Trainee Drainage Engineer

Trainee Drainage Surveyor – Wolverhampton

BCS Connect are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist in drainage surveys, for Trainee Drainage Surveyors based in the Wolverhampton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are eager to develop skills in a technical trade within the drainage and highways sector. Candidates must be happy to work away from home Monday to Friday (with accommodation provided) as projects are delivered across a wide area.

The Role

Our client is a recognised specialist within the highways sector, delivering essential surveys and inspections to support infrastructure projects. Work involves carrying out a range of drainage surveys, including:

* CCTV drainage surveys

* Geo-spatial surveys on highways

* Pipework inspections and identifying defects

Using industry-leading equipment, you will be part of a team responsible for surveying drainage networks, reporting on pipework conditions, and ensuring safety and compliance across highways environments.

* Projects are carried out across the South East and South Wales.

* Work will primarily be on night shifts, so candidates must be comfortable with these hours.

* The role will involve regular travel and overnight stays.

Candidate Requirements

* Based in the Wolverhampton region.

* Must hold a valid CSCS card.

* Must have a full UK driving licence.

* Willing to work night shifts and travel to different project locations.

Pay & Benefits

* £162.82 per shift.

* £25 subsistence allowance per shift.

* Accommodation provided while working away.

* Temp to Permanent: Successful candidates who pass the probation period will be offered full-time contracts with career progression opportunities.
