A leading name in timber frame design and construction is looking to strengthen their design team with the appointment of a Senior Timber Frame Designer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive business delivering a wide variety of projects across residential, commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.

As Senior Timber Frame Designer, you will take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, producing accurate timber frame drawings and schedules for both manufacture and construction. You will liaise with clients, project managers, and engineers, ensuring all design information is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with relevant building standards. In addition, you'll play a key role in supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping to develop technical capability across the design office.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce accurate CAD and Consultec drawings and schedules for manufacture and construction.
Prepare and manage RFIs, highlighting any commercial or timeline impacts.

Monitor design costs, durations, and deliverables in line with agreed preconstruction programmes.

Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, building standards, and company health & safety procedures.We are looking for a Senior Timber Frame Designer with:

Proven experience in timber frame design (residential, commercial, or closed panel projects).
Strong proficiency in CAD and Consultec software.

Understanding of UK building regulations and statutory requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality design work.

Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
