Maintenance Surveyor – Housing Association in Surrey
£29.50 PAYE / £38.00 Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35)
36 hours per week
3–6 Month Contract

We are working with a leading housing association in Surrey who are seeking a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join their team. You will play a key role in delivering a professional surveying service across responsive repairs, voids, disrepair cases and cyclical maintenance programmes.

Responsibilities:

Carry out diagnostic inspections, technical surveys and post-inspections, producing clear reports.
Oversee and manage contractor performance on repairs, voids, FRA and complex works to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
Manage disrepair claims, environmental health orders, and insurance inspections.
Ensure effective budget control of approx. £2m within your region, reviewing contractor invoices and challenging costs where necessary.
Support handover of new developments, ensuring quality control and managing defect periods.
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction, engaging with residents, leaseholders, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Ensure health & safety compliance across all works, including asbestos awareness and CDM responsibilities.Requirements:

Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance (Level 3) or equivalent.
Membership of RICS, CIOB, or another relevant professional body.
Experience in housing, repairs & maintenance, contractor management and compliance.
Strong knowledge of building construction, health & safety, regulatory standards, and asset management.
Excellent communication, reporting and negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritise workloads, manage small projects, and work to deadlines.Contact:
