Senior Estimator

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded drylining sub-contractor with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects across the residential, commercial, and fit-out sectors. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, they are seeking a talented Senior Estimator to lead their pre-construction function and support ongoing tendering success.

The Role

As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of the estimating process, from initial enquiry through to tender submission, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing across multiple drylining packages. This is a key leadership role within the commercial team, offering the chance to make a real impact in a growing business.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive tenders for drylining projects

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to assess scope of works

*

Prepare bills of quantities, take-offs, and cost plans

*

Liaise with clients, main contractors, and supply chain to gather accurate pricing information

*

Manage subcontractor enquiries and quotations

*

Provide detailed handovers to the project delivery team post-award

*

Advise on value engineering opportunities and risk management

*

Mentor junior members of the estimating team

Requirements

*

Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within drylining, partitioning, or interiors sub-contracting

*

Strong knowledge of estimating software and take-off systems

*

Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a sharp commercial mindset

*

Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously

*

Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills

*

Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred
