The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex, high-value schemes for Tier 1 contractors? We're working on behalf of a leading UK main contractor to recruit a skilled Project Manager for a £350 million flagship development in the heart of Manchester.
This is a career-defining opportunity to take the reins on one of the North West's most high-profile live projects – a large-scale commercial and mixed-use scheme that will shape the skyline of the city.
Your Role
As Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing project delivery from pre-construction through to completion. You will:
Lead day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and cost objectives are met
Administer the JCT contract effectively, ensuring clarity, compliance, and transparent stakeholder communication
Produce and maintain detailed written reports, trackers, and documentation
Work closely with the commercial, technical, and design teams to resolve issues swiftly and proactively
Liaise directly with the client, consultants, and key supply chain partners to maintain strong working relationships
Drive team performance, supporting a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration
About You
We're looking for a detail-oriented, highly professional individual with:
Minimum 7+ years' experience in a Project Manager role, ideally with a Tier 1 or large regional main contractor
Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects (£50m+), preferably in commercial or mixed-use sectors
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience administering JCT contracts
Exceptional written communication skills – able to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports and documentation
A methodical, organised approach with excellent planning and stakeholder coordination skills
Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
