Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of roofing and rainscreen cladding projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring health & safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of roofing and façade systems, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Manage the day-to-day operations of roofing and rainscreen cladding installation works on site.
Ensure project milestones are achieved in line with the construction programme.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour resources effectively.
Health & Safety
Implement and monitor site-specific health and safety plans, RAMS, and toolbox talks.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with CDM regulations and company policies.
Quality & Compliance
Monitor workmanship to ensure installations meet design specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.
Carry out quality inspections and resolve technical/site issues promptly.
Maintain accurate site records including QA documentation, progress reports, and photographic evidence.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Lead and motivate site operatives and subcontractors to deliver high standards.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and the project team to ensure clear communication.
Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
Commercial Awareness
Track progress against budget and schedule.
Identify and report potential risks, delays, or cost implications early.
Assist with procurement and materials management to reduce waste and downtime.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Site Manager in roofing and/or rainscreen cladding projects.
Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems (e.g., flat, pitched, single ply, liquid) and rainscreen cladding systems (e.g., ACM, aluminium, terracotta, stone, high-pressure laminate).
Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
CSCS card (Black or Gold).
First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
Computer literate with experience using project reporting tools.
