Job Summary for M&E Quantity Surveyor
This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-run M&E business based in Sittingbourne. You will play a key role in overseeing the commercial management of large-scale projects, ensuring financial control and successful delivery. The role offers the chance to work closely with project teams, clients, and senior management, contributing to the growth and continued success of the business.
This is working Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
Key Responsibilities for M&E Quantity Surveyor
* Oversee the commercial management of mechanical and electrical (M&E) packages from pre-construction through to final account.
* Manage the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist M&E service providers.
* Prepare valuations, undertake cost forecasting, manage variations, and provide clear reports to senior management.
* Maintain budgetary control, manage cashflow, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements for M&E Quantity Surveyor
* Demonstrated experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor on major projects valued at £20m+.
* Strong expertise in mechanical and electrical services within high-rise residential schemes.
* In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, contracts, procurement, and commercial processes.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
* Excellent communication and negotiation management skills.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and Sage advantageous
