Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an Intermediate Estimator with experience in Social Housing refurbishment projects to join our Rochdale-based team.
The Role:
As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in pricing and securing a variety of refurbishment contracts-primarily within the social housing sector. You will work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure competitive and accurate tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for refurbishment projects, particularly within the social housing sector.
Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare tender pricing.
Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier returns to ensure accuracy and value.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.
Contribute to value engineering processes to offer the most cost-effective solutions.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in estimating within Social Housing refurbishment contracts is essential.
Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience in an Estimator role.
Knowledge of the wider education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Existing network of sub-contractor contacts in the social housing sector is highly desirable.
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
