Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Reactive Maintenance
Location: Enfield, North London
Salary: £38,000 to £53,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent
We are working with one of the UK’s leading property services contractors who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Enfield office. This role will focus on delivering reactive maintenance works within the social housing sector. You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, from cost control through to final accounts, ensuring value is maximised and delivery is efficient and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage CVRs, valuations, interim and final accounts
Assess and process variations and pricing adjustments
Manage subcontractor procurement, instructions, and payments in line with company policies
Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial targets are met
Collaborate closely with commercial and operational teams to achieve contractual compliance and smooth delivery
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and residents
Requirements:
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally within social housing reactive maintenance
Strong financial and commercial skills, with the ability to manage budgets and reporting processes
Familiarity with NHF Schedule of Rates and reactive maintenance frameworks is advantageous
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using cost management systems
Ability to work across office and site environments effectively
