Land Surveyor (Monitoring)

We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Land Surveyor to join projects across London. This role is focused on monitoring surveys, so proven experience in structural or ground movement monitoring is essential. You will be working on live construction and infrastructure schemes, providing accurate data to ensure the safety and compliance of high-value projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a surveyor with the right skillset to secure ongoing work in London, working alongside leading contractors and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out precise monitoring surveys to track settlement, movement and deformation in buildings, structures and groundworks.

*

Set up and maintain monitoring points and equipment (Total Stations, GPS, prisms, automated monitoring systems).

*

Collect, analyse and process data to produce accurate drawings, plans and reports.

*

Provide regular updates and reports to project engineers and site management.

*

Undertake topographical, as-built and other survey tasks to support wider project needs.

*

Work independently on-site, managing your own schedule and equipment setup.

Requirements:

*

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Land Surveyor in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.

*

Strong background in monitoring surveys (structural, geotechnical or environmental).

*

Competent with Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD and other relevant survey software.

*

Ability to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines and site constraints.

*

Strong communication and reporting skills.

*

Valid CSCS card (preferred).

*

Full right to work in the UK and available for freelance contracts in London.
