Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for one of the fastest growing utility engineering contractors in the UK!

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with water experience who has strong technical expertise, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills.

Salary – £65,000 – £75,000 + pkg

Duties

* Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.

* Develop detailed project budgets, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.

* Monitor project costs throughout the process and identify areas where costs can be optimised.

* Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

* Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate efficient procurement processes.

* Monitor contract performance and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise during the construction phase.

* Implement cost control measures to ensure that projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.

* Track project expenditure and prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.

* Analyze cost variances and identify potential risks or opportunities that may impact project profitability.

* Measure and quantify construction work using appropriate measurement methods.

* Prepare accurate valuations of completed work for interim and final payments to contractors and subcontractors.

* Identify and assess risks associated with projects, including cost overruns, delays, and contractual disputes.

* Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of risks on project outcomes.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.

* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with water/ wastewater experience.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.

* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office suite.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
