About the Role and Your Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their multidisciplinary team in Birmingham. You'll work on a wide range of projects, primarily in the residential and education sectors, and will support their Cost Planning and Employer's Agent delivery.
In this role, you will:
Lead client engagement and manage project timelines.
Act as a Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
Prepare reports, contract documents, and budget estimates.
Manage schemes, tendering, and contract arrangements.
Prepare interim payment recommendations, final accounts, and variation adjustments.
Participate in project meetings and drive successful project delivery.
Advise clients on market conditions and procurement strategies.
You – What You Need to be Successful
You have extensive consultancy experience, particularly in residential and education sectors.
You're experienced in both pre- and post-contract work, with strong cost planning skills.
You have a solid understanding of JCT contracts.
You have at least 7 years of industry experience.
You are ideally a chartered professional (e.g., MRICS) or are working toward chartership.
You have a relevant academic qualification (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying).
You have excellent client-facing and negotiation skills.
