Hill McGlynn is proud to be partnering with a well-established and fast-growing fit-out contractor based in Whitstable, currently looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding project portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS with a strong fit-out background to join a business delivering high-spec projects across sectors such as commercial offices, hospitality, retail, and bespoke interiors.

The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial elements of fast-paced fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll work closely with project managers and directors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation

* Procuring and managing subcontractor packages

* Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Conducting cost analysis and value engineering where applicable

* Producing regular commercial reports and forecasts

* Ensuring contract compliance and commercial best practices

* Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal project teams

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out sector

* Strong understanding of commercial fit-out, refurbishment, and interior projects

* Excellent knowledge of contracts (JCT preferred), procurement, and project cost control

* Highly organised with strong communication and negotiation skills

* Capable of managing multiple projects and tight deadlines

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience)
