Our client is renowned for delivering exceptional interior design and fit-out projects for some of the world's most iconic brands. They are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to take the lead on a significant £25 million project in a prime City location.
The Role
As a Construction Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the practical management and planning of every stage of this complex project. You'll be a key contributor to the site set-up and will be responsible for overseeing all on-site logistics to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the on-site construction team, delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure the build goes to plan.
Develop and implement detailed project programmes and manage the schedule of works.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, professional teams, and subcontractors.
Oversee all day-to-day site activity, including deliveries, site inductions, and administration.
Ensure the highest quality of Health & Safety management on site, in accordance with the project's plan.
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, resolving issues and making fast, accurate decisions as they arise.
Ensure that quality benchmarks are set and maintained throughout the project.
Manage project close-out and snagging to ensure a perfect delivery to the client.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale commercial fit-out projects, ideally with values of £10 million or more.
A strong background in managing complex and time-constrained works.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A deep understanding of managing work package interfaces to identify potential risks.
Must hold a valid CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
A proactive and collaborative approach, with a "can-do" attitude.
