Our client is a well-established construction and interior services specialist with a strong reputation for delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment, and design-and-build projects across multiple sectors including education, healthcare, corporate offices, and community spaces. Operating across the North West, they are continuing to expand and are now seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

Your new role
Our client is seeking a proactive and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to support projects from tender through to final account. Based in Manchester, you will play a key role in cost management, procurement, and contractual control across a range of interior fit-out and refurbishment projects. Responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.

Managing contracts, variations, and valuations throughout project lifecycles.

Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency.

Monitoring project costs against budgets and reporting on financial performance.

Assisting with procurement of materials, services, and subcontract packages.

Providing commercial advice to project teams and senior management.

Preparing and submitting interim applications for payment and final accounts.

Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

Supporting the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within fit-out, refurbishment, or commercial construction.

Strong understanding of JCT contracts and construction law.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).

IT literacy with proficiency in MS Office and relevant QS software.
