Location: Witham

Salary: £34,000 – £38,500

Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation – 05:15-14:00 & 14:00-22:30 – Saturday overtime required on a rotational basis to support production

We are seeking a reliable and multi-skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our client's team and ensure the smooth operation of their busy site. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the site
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and building issues promptly
Complete routine repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on all equipment
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they occur
Maintain overall site cleanliness and safety standards
Act as the designated first aider (full training provided)
Respond quickly to any issues that may disrupt daily operations
Support the wider team with maintenance-related queries and solutions

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a similar maintenance role OR demonstrable maintenance skills evidenced in your CV
Full UK driving licence (essential due to shift patterns)
Strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance issues
Basic electrical knowledge (full electrician qualification not required)

Desirable Requirements

Forklift licence (training can be provided if needed)
Experience across multiple trades/industries
First aid certification (though training will be provided)

Please note; due to the hours / shift pattern; if you do not reside in central Witham; you will need to be a car driver as public transport does not serve the site based on the hours.
